Fast Facts About UCP
100% of all the funds we raise remain in Oregon & SW Washington!
All of UCP’s services are customized to each individual’s need!
Although nationally we started out serving people with cerebral palsy, we also serve people with many types of developmental disabilities including Down’s syndrome, autism, spina bifida, attention deficit disorder, learning disabilities and paralysis.
As a leading advocate, UCP is at the forefront of the disability rights movement to create opportunities for the people we support.
More than half of the people we support do not have cerebral palsy.
The need persists; in 2008 alone there were more than 8000 individuals with developmental disabilities in Oregon waiting to receive care; more that 1500 of them were children!
UCP is one of the most powerfully effective and innovative forces in the disability field.
UCP of Oregon and SW Washington pioneered the use of the individual/custom support approach that personalizes support services for adults with disabilities.
UCP provides services such as housing, therapy, assistive technology, early intervention programs in addition to personalized adult and family care.
UCP supports more than 100 adults and 750 families in Oregon and SW Washington!
United Cerebral Palsy National is one of the nation’s largest health charity networks serving and advocating for the more than 54 million Americans with disabilities
We are the most experienced individualized developmental disability support provider in the Northwest.
We no longer operate group homes or sheltered workshops. All our support is one-to-one based on the needs and desires of the individual or family we are supporting.

My husband and I enjoyed a nice night away that was much needed! If it weren’t for this program, we would probably not be able to have a night away
