There are folks like you who require very few pain pills. But there are others who use every bit of those 30 pills and then some. Patients get pretty upset if they run out of their pain pills and can’t get refills, especially if they run out over a weekend, so we always give a few extra. The folks who don’t use them, just don’t use them. Remember not to toss unused narcotics down the drain or into the toilet. Take them to your pharmacy for disposal1
